On Saturday, June 10th, local Ambulance Companies on the shoreline are hosting a food drive to collect non-perishable food for SSKP pantries serving local residents in need.

Challenging the public to “Stuff-an-Ambulance”, participants will be at area food markets on June 10th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

· Essex Ambulance - at Colonial Market in Essex

· Deep River Ambulance - at Adams Hometown Market in Deep River

· Chester Ambulance - also at Adams Hometown Market in Deep River

- Madison Ambulance - location TBD

In the summer there are typically fewer food drives, so this food will go a long way to help restock the SSKP food pantries and ensure that everyone in our communities will have a place at the table.

“This was a new food drive that began in 2016, initiated by Essex Ambulance, and we are so grateful to all the Ambulance Companies who are coming together again this year,” said Patty Dowling, Executive Director of SSKP. “Every day they provide life-saving care - and now they are giving of themselves to help fill our pantry shelves through the summer months. We are so grateful to them, and to all the community members who donate this much-need food.”
