Feeding the Hungry Along the Shoreline

blue dark

get helpThe Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries is an interfaith service that provides food and fellowship to those in need and educates our community on hunger and poverty.

This year on Saturday, May 13th, letter carriers will collect bags of non-perishable food that have been donated and put next to mailboxes. The donations are delivered to the Post Office where they are sorted and then taken to local food distribution agencies including SSKP’s food pantries.

“Stamp Out Hunger” is the largest, single-day food drive in the nation, and a great way to help fill the pantry shelves at The Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries. It’s an important food drive for SSKP because in the spring sometimes the amount of donated food is lower than at other times of year.

You can help! Please watch for a notice from your letter carrier and help us “Stamp out Hunger” on May 13th!

For more information about this year’s “Stamp Out Hunger” drive, ask your letter carrier, contact your local post office or visit facebook.com/StampOutHunger.
